Ingredient
- 500g strawberries
- 175g caster sugar, plus 2 tablespoons
- 500ml full-fat milk
- 500ml double cream
- 1 vanilla pod
- 10 egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Method
- Hull and roughly chop the strawberries, put them into a bowl and sprinkle over the 2 tablespoons of caster sugar and leave them to steep and infuse with flavour.
- Pour the milk and cream into a heavy-based saucepan, and add the vanilla pod, split down the middle lengthways. Bring the pan nearly to the boil and then take it off the heat and leave to infuse for 20 minutes.
- In a large bowl whisk the egg yolks and the 175g sugar until thick and pale yellow. Take the vanilla pod out of the milk and cream and pour, whisking the while, the warm liquid over the yolks. Put the cleaned-out pan back on the heat with the cream, milk, egg and sugar mixture and stir the custard until it thickens, then take it off the heat and pour it into a bowl to cool.
- Puree the strawberries in a processor, and when the custard is cool fold in the lemon juice and strawberry puree.
- At this point you can either freeze the ice cream in an ice-cream maker, or in a plastic tub in the freezer. If you do the latter you should whip it out every hour for 3 hours as it freezes and give it a good beating, either with an electric whisk, by hand or in the processer. That gets rid of any ice crystals that form and that make the ice cream crunchy rather than smooth.
SUP BEBOLA DAGING ( 2 ORANG MAKAN)
Bahan Utama
10 Ketul Bebola Daging ( atau mengikut suka)
2 cawan air
garam secukup rasa
Bahan untuk tumis
2 sudu minyak masak
4 ulas Bawang Putih ( di ketuk)
Sebiji bawang besar ( dihiris memanjang)
1 inci halia ( dihiris nipis)
Bahan hiasan
Daun sup dan daun bawang
Cara menyediakannya:
1. Rebus bebola dengan air sehingga mendidih
2. Masukkan sedikit garam ( ikut rasa)
3. Tutup api
4. Dalam kuali yang berasingan, panaskan 2 sudu minyak masak.
5. Masukkan bahan tumis dan tumis sehingga garing.
6. Masukkan ke dalam periuk sup dan tutup.
7. Sebelum makan hiaskan dengan daun sup dan daun bawang
Enak dimakan semasa panas.
SPAGETTI DAN BEBOLA DAGING
Bahan Utama
1/2 bungkus Spagetti
20 ketul bebola daging
Bahan sos
1 sudu minyak masak
1 biji bawang besar dibelah 8
2 ulas bawang putih dicincang
1 tin puri tomato
1 sudu besar oregano
2 sudu besar lada hitam
garam secukup rasa
Bahan hiasan
Keju parmesan ( ikut suka)
Daun parsley (dihiris/ yang kering)
Cara menyediakannya
1. Rebus spagetti dan bebola daging dalam air bercampur garam dan minyak masak
2. Toskan dan letak atas pinggan besar
3. Tumis bawang besar dengan minyak panas hingga naik bau
4. Masukkan bawang putih dan tumis sehingga layu
4. Masukkan puri tomato
5. Kacau sehingga mendidih
6. Masukkan garam dan oregano
7. Masukkan lada hitam
8. Tutup api
9. Akhirnya tuangkan sos ke atas spagetti dan taburkan keju parmesan bersama daun parsley
